Our artist friends
The 2008 Western Design Conference
This group has such a wonderful collaboration of artists creating leathergoods, furniture and more!! They were handing out Chocolate Buffaloes that helped us ALL get through the days of standing!!
Bill opened everyones eyes to the fact that that arena held an amazing amount of creative vision and dreams brought to reality.
The dresser that Dan dreamed up and executed to the finest of details was exquisite!!!
Richard won the Best Accents Category and we hope he will still consider creating a glass top for one of our curvy bases.
These two are the most talented young couple we have seen in a long time!!! We wish we had the energy to keep up with them we would have loved to stayed out late with them.
What can we say Al is the reason we heard about WDC and exhibited in Cody the first time. We are honored to be at the same show as him. It was a pleasure to get to know Mary and Roxie this year.
Dave and Peggy were such wonderful people to meet. We think Dave must be a little nuts to be able to put so much time and detail into the door that won Best Woodworking!! It was intricate and mind boggeling!
The similarities between Lou and Jim are scary but it had to be the reason we felt like we had known the Vilona's for years.(mac & ketchup?) Jim's work is magnificent on an international level and we truly look forward to working together in the future.
To be truthful we met Kimberly & Dave in Cody. We missed Dave this year but enjoyed so many laughs with Sarah. We loved the Owl and find it interesting that her choice of animal always ends up as a totem for our show/trip!!!
Jerry! Jerry !! Jerry!!! You made us Laugh!!
We can't wait to see the headboard and whatever else you come up with in the years to come!!
Scott was so easy going and laid back!! We are looking for a nice piece of mesquite for him to carve and create.
We met Mike and Julie at WDC in Cody and they are just as nice as we remembered them. The Copper Wall Sconce was a piece of Art.
Les and Tauni are true professionals and so much fun. Les's work is amazing and we know he is a rising star!!
We first saw Cappy's work 2 years ago in Jackson and were inspired. Seeing Lou and Cappy together is such a funny sight the long and short of it!! We look forward to seeing Cappy in Texas.
We love Sonny's work and his spirit. Cheryl's favorite creation of Sonny's is Miss Maleah 4/7
The historical value of Mike & Sharon is significant but the entertainment / hysterical value is even higher we hope to catch the underwear show one day!!
These two soft spoken, talented artist's blew us away with their generous offer of extra Fashion Show tickets so that we could drag Shawn along. It was great getting to know them.
Stephen picked Lou's brain about photography and the best equipment
to photograph furniture with.
We were fortunate enough to end up in front of Stephen's booth so we got to watch as lots of woman played dress up and tried on his fabulous furs and the master of sales showed us all how to do it!!! We look forward to his visit to the shop in November.
If for no other reason we feel like we attended this years Show so that we could meet and get to know Tim & Maureen. An amazing wood artist and his wife an artist, photographer, writer we both felt an artistic- spiritual connection that we have rarely if ever felt. We were so surprised to find our photos on their blog: timshoptalk
