A stay in Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs  home is far from ordinary.
This generous country home is where Victoria and Richard played out their design ideas before producing them commercially.  There is not a square inch of this home that has not been touched by the design duo's creativity.  The kitchen and conservatory is entirely tiled with the first majolica tiles produced by MacKnezie-Childs.  The living room walls are painted with the mural painting that later became a signature on many of the furniture pieces.  The early MacKenzie-Childs aesthetic was first  expressed in their daughter Heather's room.
When Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs lost their business to bankruptcy in 2001, their King Ferry residence grew quiet as the designers moved to a century old ferry boat floating in the Hudson River and concentrated their energies into their new venture V & R Emprise. 6 years later, their daughter Heather and her husband, Nils decided to give this unique place a second breathe by opening up its charms for travelers to enjoy.  They also opened a shop where Victoria and Richard's new line of products can be seen and purchased.  Go to homeagainshop.com to purchase online.  Find out more about Victoria and Richard and their new venture at VictoriaandRichard.com
